Delivering More $10-a-day Child Care Spaces
Our Liberal team introduced $10-a-day child care to save Canadians money, give kids the best start in life, and help get parents – particularly women – back into the workforce.
By April 1st, 8 provinces will have fully introduced $10-a-day child care, saving some parents up to $14,000 per child, per year, and we’ve built 100,000 child care spaces – but we can’t slow down now.
That’s why we’re strengthening $10-a-day child care by:
- Creating more child care spaces by providing loans to not-for-profits and public child care providers.
- Offering student loan forgiveness for rural and remote early childhood educators.
- Increasing training for Early Childhood Educators.
Canadian families need action now to grow $10-a-day child care, but Pierre Poilievre has called our plan a “slush fund.” While he’s focused on cuts, we’ll keep lowering the cost of living and supporting middle class families across Canada.
